Our pre-DP ‘Thinking for Yourself’ course supports 14-15 year old students to develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, and navigate the online and real worlds more effectively.
The 14 classroom-ready lessons introduce learners to a carefully curated range of brilliant thinkers and concepts, help them to acclimatize to TOK, and give them a powerful lexicon of knowledge-related terms.
Thinking for Yourself 2025-26: sample lessons
The 14 Thing for Yourself lessons are extensively (and explicitly) interlinked, but each one works as stand-alone experience. Either deliver them as a discrete course, or deploy them within different subject classrooms.
Access to the course is for members of the site only, but the padlet below provides you with 2 sample lessons from the course. Follow this link to take you to our membership sign-up page, and join us in seconds.

Help your learners exit their echo chambers!
Our online and in-person workshops offer the usual support for students writing the essay and exhibition, and TOK departments designing great courses.
But our training sessions go much further than this: by focusing on authentic critical thinking, they demonstrate how to help learners confront, rather than confirm, their biases and assumptions, and exit their echo chambers. This makes them accessible and relevant for all teachers, whatever their subject or programme. Read more here.
