How will you update your TOK programme for 2024-25? TOK, more than any other subject, perhaps, should keep pace with the changing world – and how it has changed over the last 12 months – so it’s important that you develop new content for the new academic year.

How are you handling the way AI tools have moved the goal-posts in terms of knowledge production and acquisition (not to mention, the two TOK assessment tasks!)? How are you helping your students develop the skills to discern mis and dis information from valid knowledge? How are you covering the climate crisis, and how to discern the truth about the way the environment is under threat? Are you including thoughts on the way war and conflict are become the norm in some regions around the world?

What developments within the different themes and areas of knowledge will you be building into your course? What mistakes did you make last year, and what lessons did you learn?

We’ll discuss all of this, and how we’re shifting our own TOK course, by updating its content, and reframing our BQs, to better explore and make sense of what’s going on in the world.
