Most approaches to DP integration are bilateral: a subject teacher brings a TOK question into their classroom, students discuss it, and that’s that. Triangular integration means presenting students with a real-world situation connected to your subject, inviting them to apply their TOK thinking to it, and then using that process to send them back into the subject with a more critical understanding of what they are studying.
This matters because authentic critical thinking is not just knowing that knowledge has limitations, it is experiencing what it feels like to have your assumptions genuinely unsettled, in a History lesson, a Biology class, or an Economics seminar.
