TOK and AI resources

The IB has said, “we must accept that ChatGPT is going to become part of our everyday lives, and so we must adapt and transform education so students can use these new AI tools ethically and effectively.”

TOK provides the perfect space to use and explore AI-tools, discuss its epistemological implications, and get to grips this paradigm-changing technology that has completely up-ended the way we seek and acquire knowledge about the world.

To access the TOK & AI lessons, become a faculty member of the site. You can see the first of the six full length lessons below. For 2023-24, we have added extensive lesson suggestions to our BQ, Classic, and Disruptive Ideas lessons inviting students to use ChatGPT to carry out learning activities, and think about the relationship between AI-tools and the acquisition of knowledge.

Help your learners to exit their echo chambers!

Our online and in-person workshops offer the usual support for students writing the essay and exhibition, and TOK departments designing great courses.

But our training sessions go much further than this: by focusing on authentic critical thinking, they demonstrate how to help learners confront, rather than confirm, their biases and assumptions, and exit their echo chambers. This makes them accessible and relevant for all teachers, whatever their subject or programme. Read more here.
