Real-world resources

Our real world resources invite teachers and learners to apply TOK to the real-world, and use the concepts, ideas, and aspects of the course to make sense of what’s going on around the globe.

They can be used as stand-alone resources, alongside our TOK world resources, augment the TOK lessons that we produce, or passed onto other teachers to integrate the course with the rest of the Diploma Programme.

Access our real-world resources

Access our real-world resources below. most of the resources are only accessible to faculty members of the site, but we have included plenty of free material, enabling anyone to see our approach to the course.

At the heart of what we do is the encouragement of students to become authentic critical thinkers. This means placing learning within the real-world, and supporting students as they identify and challenge – rather than confirm – their biases and assumptions about the world. These resources are therefore a crucial part of what we do, and should be used alongside the lesson resources to offer a life-changing cognitive experience for students and teachers.

Workshops to help you unleash your inner TOK!

Our workshops demonstrate to all teachers – whatever their level, programme, or specialisation – how they can develop authentic critical thinking.

They’re engaging, jargon-free, and hands-on, and provide practical takeaways that can be applied in the classroom to help students become nuanced knowers about the world. Find out more here, and read our workshop brochure here.
