BQ management

Managing your TOK course

TOK is challenging for students. It is concept-rich, based on tricky assessments, and has no shopping-list style syllabus to be ticked off as you go.
This page gives a few tips on setting up and running a clear and approachable course. This will help to ensure that they are engaged and empowered by the course, and are able to create great final assessment products.

The BQ lessons, and other resources from the site, are designed to be as flexible as you want – use them exactly as they are, edit them, replace them, discard them, do whatever you want with them, whenever you want. But here’s one suggestion about how you can schedule and pace the lessons, assuming a three-term year, and spending around 6 weeks on each BQ unit.
