TOK assessment lessons

Our TOK assessment lessons will help you to introduce the two assessment tasks to your students, carry out practice essays and exhibitions, and reflect on improvements that they need to make to produce an accomplished final version.

As much as possible, we embed the assessment lessons within the TOK course, so you’ll find them within the BQ units. But we can access them here to allow you to use them if you are teaching TOK via the classic lessons, disruptive ideas, or a course of your own design.

The TOK essay

Non-faculty members of the site can see our 6 essay lessons below. The first of these is accessible; the rest can be accessed via a faculty membership to the site. Note that the key to success in both the essay and the exhibition lies with developing the skills needed to create these tasks via your ordinary lessons.

We also run regular webinars to help you create create a great essay. This one offers a step-by-step guide for students writing the essay, and our annual unpacking webinar provides a blueprint for teachers who are overseeing the essay-writing process.
