TOK 2022: plotting a course
On 18th June, Michael discussed ways to teach the new course, and took attendees on on a tour of the free and members-only sections of the site, showcasing all the resources that we offer for the course. This webinar is a great introduction to the new syllabus, and to the support theoryofknowledge.net offers to TOK teachers and students.

TOK assessment 2022: recorded
On 7th May, Michael discussed the TOK exhibition and the ‘new’ TOK essay, how they differ from the way we’ve carried out assessment previously, and ways you can include assessment-building skills into your curriculum.
Purchasing a ticket to this event will provide you with a link to the video recording, the webinar presentation, and FAQs asked by attendees.
N20 TOK Essay: recorded
In this webinar, Michael discusses the prescribed titles for the November 2020 session, and suggests how you can support your students as they begin the process of writing their TOK essays. He goes through the key words in the PTs, links the PTs to the BQ framework (considering relevant key ideas and thinkers), and runs over possible approaches for each title. The webinar functions in the same way as your initial unpacking session with your students, and will help you to set them up in the perfect way.
TOK is dead, long live TOK! recorded
In this FREE webinar, we look at how the new syllabus will impact on the way we deliver TOK. Michael discusses the core and optional themes, the ‘new’ AOKs, and the essay and exhibition. He also explains how the ‘BQ’ framework offers a seamless transition to the TOK 2022. Click on the image to access a link to the video recording, the webinar presentation, and FAQs.
Introducing TOK: recorded
How do you introduce TOK to your faculty? How do you persuade them it’s an essential – and wonderful – part of the DP experience? How do you support them in delivering TOK in their classes? How do you get them to help the students with TOK essays and presentations?
This webinar provides you with practical, creative, and inspiring advice, to integrate TOK with the rest of the DP effectively. It also includes a workshop presentation for you to use with your DP teachers at the beginning of the academic year, as well as the usual video recording, and FAQs. The cost is $19.99.
The Seven Deadly Sins: recorded
Experienced TOK teacher (and all-round educational genius) Andrew Rothman chatted with Michael about seven of the most common mistakes made by students when they write their essay, what these mistakes look like within the context of an actual essay, and provide advice on how to avoid making them.
This webinar recording is for both students and teachers of TOK, and includes an event handout that attendees can fill in as Andrew and Michael talk. It’s perfect for students who are currently writing their TOK essays, but also provides essential advice for anyone and everyone involved with TOK.
The TOK Impact: recorded
How do you inspire your TOK students, and keep them onboard? The course can be conceptually challenging, and seem removed from the real world. This webinar thinks about how you can create an engaging, exciting, and genuinely life-changing experience for learners.
