Homeroom debates

The Homeroom Debates offer a focused critical thinking exercise based on each month’s newsletter stories, designed for homeroom, tutorial, or PSE sessions.

Each debate consists of just two slides, requires no prior reading, and works for both IB and non-IB students. They also make an excellent starting point for components of the UA Portfolio.

Access the free Homeroom Debates padlet

Access the free homeroom debates via the padlet below. The debates can also be found within the mini-lessons. Share the padlet with non-TOK teachers, and get everyone debating critically about the world.

To see all the homeroom debates, and receive 20 new ones every month, become a faculty member of the site. You’ll also be able to benefit from our other pioneering resources for TOK and critical thinking.

Workshops to help you escape your echo chamber!

Our online and in-person workshops are practical, honest, and jargon-free. They cover TOK essays, exhibitions, and course design, but their deeper aim is to help all learners to become authentic critical thinkers.
