Our real world resources invite teachers and learners to apply TOK to the real-world, use the concepts, ideas, and aspects of the course to make sense of what’s going on around the globe, and help students become authentic critical thinkers (ACT).
They can be used as stand-alone resources, alongside our TOK world resources, augment the TOK lessons that we produce, or passed onto other teachers to integrate the course with the rest of the Diploma Programme.

At the heart of everything we do is the belief that, far from being esoteric and inaccessible, TOK is a deeply practical subject, giving learners and teachers alike the tools to make sense of real-world events and issues.
Browse the resources below to see what this looks like in practice, and how empowering it can be for students to develop genuine ownership of an often confusing world.
Help your learners to exit their echo chambers!
Our online and in-person workshops offer the usual support for students writing the essay and exhibition, and TOK departments designing great courses.
But our training sessions go much further than this: by focusing on authentic critical thinking, they demonstrate how to help learners confront, rather than confirm, their biases and assumptions, and exit their echo chambers. This makes them accessible and relevant for all teachers, whatever their subject or programme. Read more here.
